Case in point: I decided that a good time to take a swimming class is on Tuesday nights from January to March, as this involves a long walk to the subway with wet hair at 10 pm in 20 degree weather. It will end just in time for it to get warm out.

why don’t you wear a swimcap? you’d look super cute in it too. 🙂

Don’t worry – you will get so sick after the first couple of times you go home with wet hair that you’ll have to reschedule for the spring anyway.

Back when I was an undergrad, I used to hit the pool from 6-7:30am. I had really long hair back then, and in the winter I’d end up with a solid mass of frozen hair down my back.
Then I discovered microfiber hair towels. They’re a thing of wonder, really.

I do wear a swimcap — I think it just mushes my hair up and leaves a very sexy line across my forehead. Still wet and chlorine-y. And no way am I rescheduling! So far, so good!
Zoot — the thought of you with really long hair gave me quite a chuckle, I have to admit!

Swimcaps aren’t really meant to keep your hair dry–just out of your face.
As for my long hair… yes, well, all I can say is that I was young.

I did think of the travel hair dryer — they really rush us out after class, though. It’s late and the staff all want to go home.
