Went to Jewel Bako Makimono last night with Rob. In a nutshell — yum. I even tried some new things — sushi came somewhat late in life for me, post-college, so I tend to stick to the basics, like tuna, salmon, and yellowtail. But not last night. I was so incredibly tired after the meal, however, that I retired to the couch. In before midnight on a weekend for the first time in ages. I think I needed that!

it’s such a great feeling when a meal makes me sleepy. doesn’t happen often enough, and I generally associate it with more comfort type foods (jello (shots), mash potatos, turkey, …) but anything can do it if the context is right. Actually, I’m in that mood now after a few bbq chicken tacos.. or maybe it was the fishbowl drinks (for 2) we each had two of while waiting.. yumm..

I think it might have been less about the food and more about the sake in this case. That and I’ve been working out a LOT this week!
