Granted, Ed’s just opened, so any service kinks were forgivable, but sand in my fried clams is not. I also thought the mayo in the lobster roll was a bit too heavy for my taste, as was the batter on the clams.

I like Mary’s Fish Camp for their “lobster knuckles,” and particularly like their Brooklyn outpost as it’s much roomier, but I still prefer the lobster roll at Pearl to the one at Mary’s.
