As I’ve mentioned, I am telecommuting this week — my office is right by the site of the RNC, and we didn’t want to be caught in the fray. I have been doing my best to keep up with all that’s going on, though, and a great source has been Gothamist, who has been posting excellent photoblogger roundups of all the protests and other activity: Day 1, Day 2, Day 3.
It almost makes me wish I had stayed home . . .
And while you’re at Gothamist, be sure to check out Gothamist Food, for what the real New Yorkers are eating while the delegates are at Applebee’s and Red Lobster.

You’re not missing anything, darling, I promise you.
My office is in midtown (but far from Penn Station) and things really don’t seem too different.
The only fun thing I’ve done so far during the RNC is chat up some cops who were guarding one of the Republican hotels. They were friendly and nice and I think I helped them pass the time because nothing much was happening. I just hope it stays that way.

Apparently I’ve been missing some fun blogger get-togethers, but definitely not missing the Republicans!
