I had the same thought this morning while sprinkling ground flax seed (“High in Omega-3 & EDA!”) and on my yogurt & blueberries. I’m pretty sure my g-g-grandmother would have wrinkled her nose. But I did feel quite a sense of relief after reading that article — I guess I’m off the hook for never taking my vitamins regularly.

As a faithful eater of those fabulous fiber bars, as well as a believer in eating things that only my great-great-grandmother ate (I read that article, too) – I think that even those the bars are indeed complex (to say the least), they are a better choice for ‘on-the-go’ eats than other processed foods with added high fructose corn syrup. Go on with your bad EMU bar self.
And incidentally, my GREAT grandmother lived until she was 108 – I still haven’t figured out her secret, but I am working on it!
