and the wiser part is certainly debatable, but I am certainly the luckiest girl in all the land.  10:30 a.m. and already feeling the birthday love, big time.  I can't even put into words how grateful I am to have such amazing friends and family.  Off the the gym to kick some ass, then celebrating with friends, oysters & champagne later.  Odds are I'll probably end up at the 8th St. Winecellar if you're around late night and don't have to work tomorrow.

Happiness is having friends who have known you for so many years that they sometimes know you better than you know yourself.

#1 — Save up for a new computer, as mine is very quickly becoming a sluggish paperweight and I'm not sure how much longer I can stand it before hurling it at a wall.  Would do it sooner if only my entire life weren't on it.  How is it possible that a device purchased in January 2006 can become practically useless in four years?  Longer-term goals and New Year's resolutions to come.

#2 — Regain ability to breathe through my nose.  Seem to have lost it for the past three days.

Just a subtle hint. Same goes for Chanukah.

– I can't believe they're putting up the holiday lights on the trees in front of my office.

– Odds of my running the Nike Human Race 10K tomorrow morning are about 50/50 since I'm still hacking up a lung and haven't had a decent night's sleep in ages.

– Looking forward to some tasty treats at the New Amsterdam Market on Sunday.

– If you are 63 years old you are way too old to be dating someone in their 30's, at least in my world.

– Dreaming of spending a day at home, reading the paper, listening to music, napping on the couch, and simmering something delicious on the stove and/or baking.

– The NYU folks are still leaving the lights on; time for another visit.
