This guy was trying really hard to get me to take him home on Sunday. Sigh.

It is pure torture to come home and see this on the bulletin board in my mailroom.

Ah, the first weekend at the beach.  Sand, sun, wind, a 5 mile run (thanks for the company, Meg!), two fantastic meals courtesy of Marla, Jimmy, John, Spencer and the sous cheffing team, tons of mac and cheese, dancing at and closing down the Out, a round of "Would You Rather?", deep fried oreos (pictured above), waay too many people in the hot tub, frothy pina coladas (from cocktail master Ben), and the absolute best version of George Michael's "Freedom," that I've ever heard.  The pictures from the weekend are here. Now, off to sleep.

Well, sort of. I have voted AND served on jury duty this week so am feeling very citizen-like. Although this is not the courthouse I’m currently in. But cheers for the wifi!

It’s been a hell of an interesting week.  Had a very good restaurant week dinner at Lure Fishbar with Mom, Matt, and the Lovely Miss Katie, complete with a bottle of alvarinho which reminded me of my Galicia trip, bought myself a digital recorder which I put to use in an interview, shaved a few seconds off my time on my 100 yard swim since my first class, and the rest, well, you’re gonna have to wait.  Will keep you posted.

I spotted one of the cow cabs this morning. Very fitting given that a very nice (and handsome) Gothamist reader dropped of a bunch of grass-fed beef at my apartment last night. Yum!
